Parmalat Canada has been fined after a 2009 incident at it’s Mitchell facility.
A worker received first and second degree burns when sprayed by hot water from some pipes he was working on.
The milk and dairy product producer was fined 100 thousand dollars for a violation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
A Ministry of Labour inspector found there was no need for the water in the pipes to have been kept hot while the worker was checking the system.
